Since their formation in 2016 in Kerzers, Freiburg, Akroasis have undertaken an impressive musical journey through the world of sophisticated extreme metal. Founded by Marcel Knupp (guitar) and Gerhard Baeriswyl (drums, ex-Anitras Garden) , the band quickly grew to include talented musicians such as Christof Schafer (lead guitar, ex-Distant Past) , Hänsù Zürrer (bass, 2017) and Robin Hermanek (vocals, 2019) .

With their debut album "Ilion" (2021), an epic concept album about the Trojan War, Akroasis gained great recognition in the scene. But with their second album "Hubris" (2024), they are now opening a new chapter - and are even more uncompromising in their work.

Like its predecessor, "Hubris" was recorded in the renowned Little Creek Studio and marks a powerful development for the band. Stylistically, the album moves towards melodic death metal , with melodic guitar solos, thrashy riffs and brutal death metal attacks combining in a varied, intense sound. After Robin Hermanek left, Mike Brügger took over the vocals and brought a new, aggressive dynamic to the band's sound.
