Breed - History of Tomorrow

Thrash metal has been one of the most stable and diverse pillars in metal since the early 1980s.

American bands in particular such as Forbidden, Exodus, Testament, Violence, Exhorder, Death Angel, Toxic and Heathen enjoy a special status among fans because they represent honest and intelligent music that likes to express social criticism in their lyrics and for this they still have cult status today enjoy.

The passion for American thrash metal was also crucial for guitarists Sascha Rink, Maik Ramroth and drummer Sacha Meinert to launch a new project at the end of 2018. The three musicians had previously played together for 25 years at the Osnabrück death metal institution Sudden Death .

After the band's dissolution in 2015, three years later they were ready to go back to their roots and let the seeds of American thrash metal germinate in their new band.

BREED were born!

With Vincent Alberti on vocals and John Scholten on bass, the two missing pieces of the puzzle were quickly found and the first gigs could be played in 2020.

With Covid and the subsequent lockdown, BREED also came to a standstill. Sacha Meinert left the band, but after the difficult months for art and culture, a perfectly suitable new man was found in Oliver Ross at the end of 2022. For the Heathen/Toxic Tour 2022, BREED were able to get a support slot in Rheine and open the show for their icons, which gave them further courage to take the next step.

The 8 songs on the album were recorded from mid-2023 and a partner was found in Doc Gator Records , who was immediately enthusiastic about the result and supported the band in completing it. So the recordings were handed over to Luka Matković (Quasarborn) , who took care of the mixing and mastering for “ History Of Tomorrow ” in his Citadela Studio in Belgrade.

The first single release will be “In Your Face” and the title says it all! The playful lead guitar ensnares you, while the hard riffing tightens the noose, the vocals hypnotize you and there is no escape for you.

The spawn of Sudden Death has now become an independent plant with BREED , the seeds of which are now being spread inexorably further with “History Of Tomorrow”.

BREED are here to stay!
