Architect Of The Mind – 1999

In their short existence, Hollow walked the fine line between traditional and progressive metal, with a captivating sound that lay somewhere between Mindcrime-era Queensryche, Crimson Glory and later Agent Steel.

Hollow's 1998 debut "Modern Cathedral" already showed a mature unit capable of writing powerful and catchy metal pieces with plenty of crunch and melody.

Andreas Stoltz's impressive vocals were particularly outstanding. While "Modern Cathedral" had many excellent songs, Hollow only reached their full potential with the epic concept album "Architect Of The Mind" from 1999. The album combines very heavy, crunchy guitars with soaring vocals and brilliant songwriting. With a fascinating concept about cyberspace, artificial intelligence and humanity's dependence on technology, it offers a touching and melancholic mood and is one of the best metal concept albums of all time.
