Modern Cathedral – 1997

Originally known as Vaalkyrian, Andreas Stoltz (vocals/guitar), Thomas Nilsson (bass) and Urban Wikstrom (drums) changed their name to Hollow after recruiting second guitarist Marcus Bigren.

Hollow released their debut album "Modern Cathedral" in 1997 on the small label MM Records.

The album caught the attention of Nuclear Blast, who quickly signed the band and re-released the album in 1998 with new cover artwork by Kristian 'Necrolord' Wahlin.

This debut album is a melodic yet powerful heavy metal album with progressive elements and a love for classic bands like Crimson Clory and Queensryche.
